La plata almorávide y postalmorávide: El quirate / Band 7

This work constitutes the most extensive compilation made so far dedicated to the silver coinage carried out by the Almoravid dynasty and the revolutionary period that arose after its fall. More than four hundred different types are illustrated, in which the well-known 'quirat' is the doubtless protagonist, which have been organized depending on their issuer and the different legends they include, accompanied by brief historical summaries that help to understand the circumstances in which these coins appeared. It is hoped that this new way of looking at the numismatic panorama of that fascinating period will serve as a basis for future studies, since the coins are shown in an orderly and homogeneous way, since until now any research was affected by the enormous dispersion suffered by the works dedicated to them. It is the intention of the author and the editors that this work will be updated in the future, a commitment that will undoubtedly be facilitated by its digital edition, which also promotes its dissemination without barriers of any kind.
