To complement the Encyclopedia of Egyptian Money, from which (Egyptian Banknotes), (Egyptian Currency Notes) and (Egyptian Coins) were issued, we present the section on Egyptian Tokens or currency alternatives (tokens). This book is the first of its kind, as this book includes an explanation of the difference between The official state Currencies and symbolic currencies and the beginning of their appearance in the world and then in Egypt, explaining the reasons that led to this, listing the places of manufacture, the materials used in their production, the most famous places in which they were used inside Egypt, documented by pictures, and recording different and varied examples of these tokens with writing the diameter, weight, type of metal and the price for each piece of them.
