This 1989 BU Set of coins was minted by The Royal Australian Mint in Canberra and issued by the New Zealand Government Treasury. The set was packaged in a blister type folding coincard and was inserted in a slipcase.

The set contains four standard definitive coins, 5c, 10c, 20c & 50c.

The NCLT $1 coin is commemorating the 14th Commonwealth Games held in Auckland in 1990.
