Beschreibung
This coin set was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Maasdonk's Wegenbouw B.V., a road building company. The portrait is of Mr. Van Rooij, former director and one of the founders of the company.
All coins in the set are in BU condition.
This set was produced by the Dutch Royal Mint (KNM), However the KNM logo is not on it. The set token does have the marks, so it was definitely produced by the KNM. Size and material of the set, including the transparent plastic envelope in which it was packed, were the same as for the regular KNM year sets.
The missing logo can be explained by the KNM not yet being a private company at the time. Between 1996 and 2014, it was transformed from a state owned mint to a company, with the Dutch state as only shareholder. After privatization (2014), the KNM logo appears on all coin sets that are produced by the Dutch Roal Mint.
