Does anybody know whether or not British Antarctic Territory coins are circulations coins? I've read on several websites that coins from the British Antarctic Territory are circulation coins, including the Royal Mint website. However, the Numista site says all of them are non-circulating. Let me know what you guys think.
"We made history in 2008 when we became the first territory in the Antarctic to issue a coin under our own authority. Commemorative coins, which are also legal tender within the Territory, are produced for us Pobjoy Mint."
I read that to mean non-circulating, but maybe the scientists play poker with them or something :-)
