Depends on the country you want to honour with your home made sets???

Buy some cardboard with different thichknesses and make your own hole and decorations, no other way in my opinion. Selfmade is wellmade for you?

The investment is not big. You might even enjoy the cutting and painting, or ask your eventual children to help you....

Alternatively you can make it out of wood to make it look fancy and more formal.
  • You can paint whatever colour you like.
  • Either line the interior with fabric or cardboard.
  • Cut the a hole either to fit the coin as is or in a capsule,2x2 etc.
  • Label the set either a date run of a certain coin or a type set.
  • In the future if you change your mind on what you want to display you can simply just change the interior to fit a different coin and paint it over with the new set.

I leave it up to you.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
If this is for long term storage I'd worry about the cardboard, wood, or paint interacting with the metal of the coin.
