I need the opinion of some experts in the Finnish coin market.
How much would you pay for a 1989 coin set, Russian text, silver medal included?
Krause market value is 35$
I'm not totally sure which coin set do you mean, with Russian text. In Finland we don't have those on sale, we have official sets only, and they do not have any silver medal, only some kind of jeton. If it includes the real 1989 silver coin then it has some value, but if it does not, I wouldn't pay much, only few euros. Those coins are cheap ones. Finnish dealers have official 1989 sets for price about 10 euros. But first I have to know what kind of set are you talking about.
It's an official mint coin set but with Russian writing, as listed on the Krause catalogue.
There is an English language version as well.
Both include a small silver medal/jeton, but there's an high variety of prices on net, so I wonder if Krause quotation is right or wrong.
Let me show you :
The pictures are a bit small, that's what I could find on net, but there's Russian text and it's the standard mint set package for these years.
The small silver medal is on the top.
Yes, and that coinset is available even for less than 10 euros, but this one with Russian text, although it has the same coins, has an higher market value on Krause and I was wondering what's the real market price
Thank you! =)
Yes, that is what I was looking for. Comparing to the other "standard" coin sets from different years and in Finnish, this one has an higher price but well below the Krause market value. I have to keep in mind that Krause is not that reliable for European coins.
I saw this coin set on sale for 4 euros somewhere, I knew it was probably a mistake (or they didn't know what they were selling).

Hello again
Does anyone here knows when I can get information (and pictures) of specific Finnish coin sets? Or does anyone have a Finnish coin catalogue and check some information for me?
Cause Krause is definitely a source of confusion and I can't find any information on net, even if I try to Google putting in some Finnish words
Thank you / kiitos / grazie =)
