Am I right that this is Silver?. Is it a copy? It does not have the feel of silver. Argent on edge seems to indicate silver.
What does the date 1599 mean? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia53181.html
Verweis : "Mr. Midnight"I expect it is silver, as indicated by ARGENT.
the date 1599, from the notes on the page you linked to -
Verweis The token exists with dates 1599 (creation of the first Bureau du commerce in Marseille)
Ups, I did’nt see the date. I have a number of similar French tokens, they are all stamped argent. I just did not think they looked as if they were made of Silver.
Thank you.

Thank you, now I understand. I received 4 french medals, they should have been copies, they had a frosted look that I was not familier with. I will put them on Numista. I did not expect them to be original. Used to seeing shiny new silver coins🙂.
Verweis : "Mr. Midnight"Very nice collection!
The one of Bordeaux appears to be a double die on the reverse.
I was given them yesterday. I know nothing about them. Some of the none silver look as if they were made yesterday. It will take me some time to work out what they are. I would be glad if one of you would just roughtly tell me what they are. Surely some of them must be reproductions, but even so interesting.
Verweis : "Polette"Can we have clear pictures of the edges of the medals?
Even if there is no text on the edges? It might take me a little time, OK.
Yes If you see hallmark/mintmark (cornucopia, MM, etc)
I tried with a camera and the scanner but no good, but now I have found that it can be done with an ipad. I will put the photos on the coin pages, is that what you wish me to do? 🙂
