Fake 1875 Dime

I have a 1875 Dime that is Magnetic and looking at it it has been Plated that is Damaged its Weight is 2.13g Dia 18.1mm Thik 1.3mm is this Dime a Scarce Year and why would anybody want to make one.

For this type 1875 is not one of the rare years. Maybe they were trying to pass it off as a Proof?

Possibly contemporary.

In 1875 a dime might have been half a day's pay,
small coin, easy to pass, well worth counterfeiting.
