Hi this Irish 1995 10 pence appears to have doubling,is this a new variety and if so can it be listed in the catalogue? Many thanks

Machine doubling.

Here is my 1990 punt with doubling on the date and on Eire:

I don't think we list this here as a variety, but maybe I am mistaken.

Enter the number of coins of this type you own in each appropriate box depending on its grade. Specify also how many coins you want to exchange with the other members of Numista. For specialized variants not listed in main catalogs and strike errors, you may add * personal comments.

That said, there should NEVER be additional lines made - ANY coin EVER made could potentially have strike errors. (8

Agreed. Machine doubling is an error, not a variety.

Here's some extra info about machine-doubling: https://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-errors-varieties.php?error=machine-doubling&id=14
