Mexico 500 pesos P-79 14 mar 1983  series DC. Can not find anything on a series DC. Is this fake.

- the banknotemuseum, like most catalogues,  don't list every single prefix/series. Typically, they show ranges so if your note falls between series CJ & DP & the March 14th 1983 date is there, it will fall under P-79a.  The next version would be Aug 7th 1984 with the DR series (& new set of signatures) which ends on series EK. 

 Thank you rsirian1 and Serial_Number_8. Iam still learning. I just started cataloging my banknotes for real this year. Before it was do i like it. And all i was putting down was country ,value and date. Iam sure i will have more questions.  I think i may be almost half done. Not to bad 383 types,115 countries, 124 issuers.

A lot is missing in Bank Museum. I have sent in a few varieties, but not all has been published. Don't know why. I've got no reply either.
