Looks quite nice.

Aidan.

Nice coin indeed. Thanks for showing it here.

...you can run,  but you can't hide...

I assume they are going to be sold at their melt value before they mint any with any denomination on the gold pieces.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

It will be sold based on the current bullion value - in both Zimbabwean Dollars & in foreign currencies in addition to American Dollars.

It is a shame a Silver version hasn't been thought of - as most people in Zimbabwe have pretty low incomes & pretty poor standards of living.

Aidan.

I'm sure it is meant to be sold mostly to foreigners, not ordinary Zimbabweans.

Struck in Zimbabwe with gold from Zimbabwean mines.

Each coin's serial number will be the same as that on the official certificate.

Aidan.

Serial numbers on a coin is an interesting notion.

Hibernia

Serial numbers on a coin is an interesting notion.

It is a way to both track ownership & to deter forgeries.

It is not a unique instance though.

Apparently, the Commonwealth Mint did this a few years ago for one of the Channel Islands or Tristan da Cunha, but the serial number was stamped on the reverse of the coin in the background field.

Aidan.

I reckoned there might be a tracking opportunity there!

I reckoned there might be a tracking opportunity there!

Especially, when it will require details of everyone who will own that coin.

Mintage figures have not been disclosed.
