scratch removal on plastic case

i have a 3 coin presidential cased set from PCS coins. There is a long scratch like from a blade of some sort. This is fairly deep and takes away from the appearance of the set. Has anyone attempted to remedy this kind of damage in any way?

Likely can't fix this completely if it's deep.

A couple of things you could try if you really want to fix it:

1) Dremel + plastic polishing compounds 

2) Windshield repair kit

But whatever you do is likely to make it worse rather than better.

You could also sell this one and buy one without a scratch?

I can live with the scratch. The coins are in great shape. Maybe I can try to polish it out away from the coin face since the scratch is long. It looks like somebody used a blade to open a box not realizing the coin case was in the way. Thanks 

It probably won't work, but you can try toothpaste.  It's a mild abrasive that can sometimes get out light scratches.  Worth a shot since you've (hopefully) already got some laying around.
