Mint error or post mint damage?

I have this 2024 penny that has a large gash at the bottom of Lincoln. I was wondering if it was a mint error or not, because it was minted last year, so I’m thinking its not post mint damage. It does look like it goes deeper than what I’d expect the copper layer usually covers.
