This coin is listed as dating to 615, but the Artuquids of Mardin have Gregorian dates on the order of 1200 - 1250 CE (AD).  I think the given date is Islamic (AH).  The conversion is apparently fixed by a conversion between days, so there is a bit of uncertainty, but it appears that the correct date for this coin is 615 (1218).

I just submitted a CR to change the calendar to Islamic. Once accepted the Gregorian date will be converted automatically.

There is a reliable converter?

I used reliably-dated coins to make one and found it jittered by a year or two.  I think their years have different start dates.

Numista converts every AH date to AD date. 615AH will be converted to 1219AD.

Year in Islamic calendar is shorter than real year or Gregorian year. In long term such years stop adding up in basic maths.

I would assume that form in https://www.islamicfinder.org/islamic-date-converter/ works. It has button to change conversion direction, if Hijri to Gregorian conversion is required.

Thanks.  The sites I found didn't make clear that they accounted for such differences, so I assumed they could be off by a year or so.

The conversion is automatic. Once the change is accepted you can ask the Admins to manually adjust the date if you feel it is not correct.  Here are two examples with 615 AH being 1218 or 1219 AD.

How would you know if it came out in the beginning of 615 or the end?

This converter gives 1218.

In the end, I don't think it matters which AD date is used. The important thing is that 615 is changed to AH from AD.

Update on my change request to use the correct calendar: One month later still Pending.

This has now been fixed.
