This 1901 Strait Settlements one cent has the correct weight and looks good except there are nodules on the surfaces. What are these nodules and what causes them?
Obverse, small bumps on the neck and just below the bust.
Reverse, small bumps on left side of the “1”
Otherwise, the coin seems fine.
