Hi There
I have this coin, ive sent if off for grading. It was found with circulation coins. From what ive read special strikes and proofs for 1938 were not certified and known to end up in circulation. This coin looks like it has die contrast sharpness on the inner part typical of proofs. It also has sharp detail and luster for a coin not properly preserved and exposed. The colour and sharpness compared to images ive seen of this coin online which look silver/grey are making me ask questions. The inner die also looks enhanced. Could this be a proof strike?
Thanks
