Does the 1928 Large and Small S varieties mimic the 1941 infographic?

If you mean the picture with this comment,

The difference between the 1941 small "S" and regular "S" is the distance between the lowest branch and the top of the "S". The distance is larger on the small "S" pieces compared to the large "S" pieces.

That is not true even for the 1941 coins.  Mint marks, being hand stamped after the dies were made, being in precisely the same position on every die used to make 43 million coins would be impossible. That comment and picture should be removed from the coin page.

As far as the 1928, these PCGS pictures shows the difference in size (not location):

Thorough and thoughtful reply as always.  Thank you rsirian1.  Happy to put this small S variety in my collection.

You're welcome.  Perhaps @Sjoelund would like to collaborate on a graphic for 1928?

Will do, just wait. On it.

Thank you, on my disk now, but the red lines one I already used without a problem. It has less pixels?

The consistency in your graphics is soothing.

Thanks

Perfect!  Shall we clean up the 1941S?

We never documented the 1941S, at least I don't find my documentation, so I'll have to make it, but OK it's rather fast to do.
