Test Loonie

I received a Test Loonie in my change and I can't find much info about it. Most of the examples I've seen online have “Test Token” on the top whereas mine simply has “Test”. Does anybody have any info on this coin?

There are quite a few different designs of them but it seems older coin types had the same overall design.

Yours is just a version with the newer dollar planchets, maybe the 2 dollar coin ones have more space and the 1 dollar had to drop the token part.
