This is ridiculous. A coin/medal/token is a piece of art with it's own artistic purpose, explicit or not. The rule banning it is just another example of self-censorship in the name of political correctness.

This new rule reminds me of the shameful event when Italy covered nude statues with panels during the visit of the Iranian president to not hurt his religious feelings. Of course, why not respect the values of a top politician from one of the world's most opressive religious dictatorship....

I agree, but I only enforcer here. To be honest, I would never delete those pieces of art some of you put here on display, and not just because they are part of the history, but because they are much more decent than those tokens I deleted. I agree, this is censorship and is ridiculous.And if the excuse is "because children could find it" I doubt they would need to go as far as looking up rude coins on Numista, they're already on the internet.
What triggered this thread in the first place? I can't believe that someone woke up one morning and thought what Numista really needs is censorship of old coins.
I do think there is a need for all these. Frankly speaking this is my point of view.
Those website that put the age declaration is to only protect their own intrest by saying "hey, if you lie and going to sue me next, it your own problem". Because that is the main reason of why there is a need to declare such things.
Even if you put NSFW, a child would just click it when no one is ard. That is the human nature.
I Don think there is a need to go to that extreme. After all its just art and nothing really very erotic. The erotic ones are those xxx websites. They can just go there straight instead of coming here.
Because I have not come to a point where I see a coin that is painted with those things and been sell as bullion and stuffs...
