explicit content is not allowed on Numista, so if you want to add some tokens or exonumia of that sort into your collection, you will have to use pictureless template which Tokens/Exonumia referees gladly create in category you need.
I hope that Roman Sprintae will still be authorized
And there are also some interesting Satyrs on Staters
But anyway I do understand that contemporary explicit tokens might be squeezed
And that one? I hope you see better how shapes the "virility" of the Satyre and how this so called "rule", without any kind of legal basis - at least not in the free world, but maybe Numista has to comply with Saudi Arabia legislation ? - is equally irrelevant and insulting for the scientific discipline named Numismatic
And I can find more explicit ancient coins if you're not still convinced how your statement is completely ridiculous.
This is ridiculous. A coin/medal/token is a piece of art with it's own artistic purpose, explicit or not. The rule banning it is just another example of self-censorship in the name of political correctness.
Numista is a French site, which is the part of the western world, where explicit content is wide-spread in arts from Ancient Rome through the Reneissance till modern days.
This new rule reminds me of the shameful event when Italy covered nude statues with panels during the visit of the Iranian president to not hurt his religious feelings. Of course, why not respect the values of a top politician from one of the world's most opressive religious dictatorship....

That is diplomacy and it was both needed and legitimate in that context. You won't propose wine to a Muslim leader or pork to the Israeli prime minister, that's the same issue.
Vaticano castrated hundreds of ancient statues in the past, because of puritanism. That is far more problematic, mostly because it's a definitive alteration of a piece of art.
Verweis : "Geison"There is a risk of kids who will browse the internet in search of coins to see some erotic scenes,
I would wager there are more kids browsing the internet in search of erotic scenes rather than coins.
I agree, but I only enforcer here. To be honest, I would never delete those pieces of art some of you put here on display, and not just because they are part of the history, but because they are much more decent than those tokens I deleted. Those were way more explicit and even derogatory in some ways.

+1...
So, as we most of us are against this rule, and because as French on a French Website, I do not want to see narrow minded people to act in a non-sense way.

I agree, this is censorship and is ridiculous. And if the excuse is "because children could find it" I doubt they would need to go as far as looking up rude coins on Numista, they're already on the internet.
What triggered this thread in the first place? I can't believe that someone woke up one morning and thought what Numista really needs is censorship of old coins.
I do think there is a need for all these. Frankly speaking this is my point of view.
Those website that put the age declaration is to only protect their own intrest by saying "hey, if you lie and going to sue me next, it your own problem". Because that is the main reason of why there is a need to declare such things.
Even if you put NSFW, a child would just click it when no one is ard. That is the human nature.
I Don think there is a need to go to that extreme. After all its just art and nothing really very erotic. The erotic ones are those xxx websites. They can just go there straight instead of coming here.
Because I have not come to a point where I see a coin that is painted with those things and been sell as bullion and stuffs...
