I have a short question, for a reason in my profile I have the message 'this member has been detected by Numista moderators for suspicious activities', but I don't understand why. I only have good ratings and no problems with other collectors. Can somebody help me.

No idea who did that, but it looks like a mistake to me.
Lets hope that the warning message will be removed that soon.
I'd guess it's because you received feedback from the same collector only 5 days apart. It's a pretty big red flag. If there's a legit explanation you'll find the moderators are generally willing to listen.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
if you make a swap with the same person every week or month... at the end it's best to sent the coins but to cancel the swap... otherwise your swap list becomes pretty awkward even without a red flag...…
I have the same.. some swaps immediately lead to another swap... but keep it low profile...
Hey! ....new to the group, well the "forum" aspect if it anyway...and i suppose the swapping coins thing TOO actually... which is how I ended up with a question about this topic specifically... Will you please explain to me why moderators feel it necessary to monitor and control people swapping?? Because I am so in the dark right now I already feel like some sort of numismatic evil do-er when I was just DAYDREAMING about starting a swap that would lead to another and then (YES!) ANOTHER swap. Now, after reading this post, (and subsequent posts where I had already learned it could be suspicious that you traded with your pops and too SOON between the swapping) I am afraid that networking with other like minded enthusiasts might be taken as if I am gathering a group of evil "token" minions to do my coin bidding...??
What's the deal exactly? Things seem far more complicated on this site than necessary... Am I missing something?
Hi Plurgirl: some precautions around swapping are definitely necessary. As everywhere else on the internet, some members here are not who they say they are, or do not have decent intentions.
Swapping is promising each other to reciprocally send items of value. After agreeing on a swap, one of the parties may not come up to the promise, deliberately. In order to prevent this kind of scamming, and unfortunately, Numista has seen real big and flagrant scams in the past, there are several measures taken to detect possible scams and scammers early.
Never trust people on their blue eyes, particulary not on the internet!
