In 2017, San Marino changed the national sides of its divisional coins after 15 years. The new coins feature famous works of art and monuments, including Saint Marinus, a detail from an oil painting by G. B. Urbinelli (€2.00), the Second Tower (€1.00), a portrait of Saint Marinus, a detail from a painting by E. Retrosi (€0.50), the Three Towers (€0.20), the façade of the Church and Convent of San Francesco (€0.10), the Capuchin Church (€0.05), the Country Gate (€0.02), and the official Coat of Arms of the Republic (€0.01).
