Canadian dollar bill 1954, missing prefixes on list [gelöst]

I own four Canadian dollar bills from 1954 that are not listed on the website. The Beattie/Coyne prefix A/L, Beattie/Rasminsky prefix C/F, Bouey/Rasminsky prefix L/F and Lawson/Bouey prefix A/I. Here are two pictures of the bills in my personal collection.
Not every prefix is listed, and that's intentional. If prefixes aren't rare, they are grouped together under the signature type. In this case, prefix A/L would be listed under the regular Beattie/Coyne signature type, C/F under Beattie/Rasminsky and so on. If every prefix were to be listed, it would clutter the page up, so only rare prefixes (changeovers, short-runs, replacements) are listed individually.

Hope this helps!

Welcome to Numista "Tash11"

"DoubleEggbert56" correctly replied to your enquiry. Most catalogues give few to no specifics for full run prefixes such as the ones you have listed. Full run prefixes (10,000,000 each) are also not specifically listed in Charlton Catalogue of Government Paper Money (sometimes simply referred to as: "Charlton" or the CGPM catalogue).

For example, Beattie-Coyne A/L prefix is catalogue # BC-37a & is lumped into the group of A/L - Z/L (250,000,000). The Standard Catalogue of World Paper Money (SCWPM) is even more general & doesn't list any prefixes. This note has a catalogue # P-74 since it was printed by the Canadian Banknote Company (CBN according to Charlton or CBNC according to SCWPM).

Look for P-74 when entering your note in Numista. P-75b for C/F; P-75c for L/F & P-75d for A/I.

If you'd like to get a little more info (such as book value BV) on Canadian Banknotes from the 1954 Series you can get a copy of Charlton or try coinsandcanada . I also have a site which has a Notaphylic Sites page dedicated to various references on banknotes including how you can order a copy of Charlton (scroll down to bottom under "Supplies"). Hope this helps!
