I have this particular coin. This catalog states only 45 coins were minted in 1943 , with an UNC value of $10. I know that a coins value is basically determined by mintage, availability and condition. Does this value seem correct when considering common date issues are $6 in UNC?

Any thoughts?

And which 1943 you have, the copper one with a mintage of 35, or the bronzital one with a mintage of 25,400,000?

The values that are listed here are based on member entries rather than on authoritative sources of some kind. They can give you a rough idea of what other members think about the price of certain coins but for extremely low-mintage coins it's unlikely to be reliable as few (if any) members will actually have the coin but can add it to their collection or assign values anyway.

In this exact case it's also possible that people who have purchased the bronzital version of this coin in UNC condition (25 million minted) have confused it for the copper version (pattern, 35 minted). In that case they might put in the price they paid for it but that price was for a much more common coin. I would recommend double-checking your own coin for this reason.
