Hi,

Am currently cataloguing my Philippine coins and I have a problem. I have 2 coins from 2012. One of them is Rev II however the other seems to be reverse I which doesn't exist according to Numista. Can anyone confirm if this is a type 1 Reverse? Maybe just a grease filled die? Also, the difference in the J listed for type 2, is that only between Type 2 and 3 or are the differences within type 2?

Thanks

First, when you ask a question about a coin listed in Numista please include a link to the Numista entry. Most likely anyone who wants to help you will need to find the entry before answering -- you will encourace people to answer if you make it easier for them and include the link.

In this case the link is https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17107.html .

It would have been useful if you included images of the whole reverse as there are differences in the lettering as well as the date.

I don't believe your second coin is a reverse Die I. Look at the bottom of the loop in the 9s -- Die I is thick on the left and bottom and your image shows a thinner bottom of the loop.
