I am somewhat of a beginner in collecting coins and I want to find a way to store them , and recently I came across the ENCAP system for coins in capsules (Personally I'm not really fond of 2x2s).
Will there be any problem with the coins if I don't put them into capsules before putting them on the pages?
Thank you in advance.
It seems like the biggest issue would be that, without capsules, the coins would be rattling around in the slots on the pages. As long as there's no PVC in the pages, there shouldn't be any kind of damage risk, though.
One problem I might see is that if the page separates or when you open it up to insert or remove coins, the coins could fall out. It may not be likely but it is possible. When the coins fall out, they could get scratched if not in capsules. Also, I don't think the ENCAPs are sealed so if you want to keep air out, you'd have to put them in capsules. Also, if the interior snaps get open, could the coin slide to another compartment?
