Trying to hone my skills in grading. I believe this coin is real so I haven't provided any weight/dimensions. Bought many coins from this dealer and some graded so I trust him. I believe it's MS 62. Opinions?
Yes, maybe higher. I don't like the light provided on any of the coins you are asking about as luster starts to become important at these grades. I think this is the most desirable of the 3 you are asking about. One, because it is clearly the nicest and two because this date has a lower mintage compared to the other two dates which are more easily obtained in higher grades. This is a useful tool to compare and hone your skills.
Verweis : "teutonic_metal"I apologize for the lightening. It's the best I can do for now. The flash on phones makes it look like a supernova. Here are 4 more photos:
You have it in hand so just get it in some white light and allow the light to reflect on the coin while rotating slightly. Hopefully you see the cartwheel effect all the way around the coin.
I am a novice and don't mean to sound rude but I don't believe it's polished or cleaned. On the cartwheel effect, here is the best I can do. I appreciate everyone's opinions and judgements and apologize for bad lighting
Please understand, at this point it is hard for anyone to assign higher grades or precisely grade more than we have generally agreed to and think it is. You have it in hand and that cartwheel effect and luster is something only you will be able to see if it is there at all . We can't do that with even very good photos. This is why you have to send coins into the grading companies because they must have it in hand to precisely grade at these levels of detail. They refuse to grade coins with photos and this is just one of the reasons why.
Edit. Sorry, and you should take them out of the flips when doing so.
Verweis : "teutonic_metal"I understand. Was just getting excited about this coin. Thanks for all you're help and sorry if I was a bother with so many photos.
Actually I was getting excited about it too. Beautiful example and I wish I had that date in as nice condition as that one.

It is difficult to determine from your photos, but there is something at the bottom of Liberty's neck. If this is a scrape, it will definitely affect the grade (or modifiers) for your coin.
I don't mean to keep putting up photos to show off but to clarify what the last reply said. I can see what your talking about on the neck. I still think it's a great coin and would grade at least MS 62. Thanks for the catch! These are the seller's photos.
