Verweis : "Sjoelund"Most guests wouldn't like to go trough that!!!!
Ole is right, most non-collectors don't care about our collections. You don't have to do it for your guests but for yourself, you must ask yourself how can I display my collection so I can enjoy it the most.
If your guest is into numismatic activity, would like to see your collection. The way you organize for you will be good for a colleague.
Now, we all like to show our treasures, but if the guest is not in this activity, will like to see shiny and colorfull coins and banknotes.
I have a collection to show to non-collectors. It has weird shape coins, colorized, tallies, chinese knifes, spades, etc, and some fantasy items like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Zamunda coins and banknotes. Between them a few cobs, ancient India coins and very big and very small notes. When your guest have seen the shiny ones and is enjoying the view, and then he sees the cobs, they will ask about it, and you have the opportunity to explain what they are and why you collect them. Maybe then they would like to see the "serious" collection.
I have 47 years as store seller, so I found the way to "sell" my show.
Just 10 options: you understand binary, or you don't.
