United States 1883 Shield Nickel [gelöst]

I am thinking of getting this coin graded and was thinking at least AU. Hoping it may be MS. Opinions?
Again, lighting is the best I can do for now.

I would go with AU. might be a 55. Around the base of the shield there is some softness, also considerable rim damage.

I agree, this is definitely a circulated coin (the rim shows it).

I think that it's not higher than XF, due to the rim damage. There's also a scratch on the 5, but it's difficult to see if that's on the coin or on the plastic of the holder.

I can't tell about the wear in the leaf tips and the cross over the shield from the pictures. Maybe you can with the coin in hand?

Thanks for the opinions. From the Red Book suggestion I think it's somewhere between XF and AU. There is a small abrasion on the 5. There is still some shine to the coin when held in the light. These opinions help me to probably send it off for a grade.

For the record, I'm thinking this will grade AU 50. Beautiful coin in spite of the rather minor detractions.
