I have this commemorative coin about the event: World Conference of Hungarian Reformed Chrurches 1991 and I found that it isn't in the catalog yet. I wanted to add it but I'm not sure about a lot of information asked of me. I don't know many technical terms sadly, so I'm really sorry if they're stupid questions. I tried looking for answers before posting but haven't found any (I might've just not looked in the right place).
I don't quite understand what a reference number is. Can I find it on the coin or is it just external information? If the latter, where can I find this information? (my understanding rn is that these are catalog books where the coins are numbered??? How do I find which book it is in?)
Can I determine the manufacturing technique just from looks? Aren't they are printed anyway? Or are there different printing methods? The mint is the facility where the coin was made. Is this correct? It says on the page that there might be mintmarks on the coin, designating the place. If so, where would I find them on the coin? On the page there's a table with the title 'Mintage' and I'm not sure how to fill it in (if I should fill it in at all). The year I guess refers to the issue date of the coin. But what's a mint letter? And mintage is the issuing facility or what?
Also, what determines which side is the obverse and which is the reverse?
And lastly, are any of these important? What should and should I not worry about? I want to be as thorough with the entry as possible but there might be things that are unimportant(?). Thank you for the help in advance!
