I just added 2 of these coins.

The first was dated 1944, and it fit the picture and metal composition...ie Brass.

However; the second was dated 1957, and it also fit the picture as far as design....but the visual metal composition was different....its appearance is more of a shiny Nickle metal composition.

Does anyone else have these coins? And if yes......do you have them in different metal composition appearances?

Please help, and Thankyou in advance for your HELP.
The 1957 looks plated. Probably by someone playing around.
Indeed, somebody was "playing around". Have a look on the following post, which I hope will clarify a bit the issue.

In any case, coins of that series were all minted in brass.

UN SOL 1944 - Philadelphia Mint

UN SOL 1957 - Lima Mint (this example with a small mint error at the right side of the palm )

Sorry it took me until now to get back to you....I am new at using this site and asking for help......

If you have knowledge about coins of japan.......I am stuck in this 5 Yen dates 1989..... For that coin is in two different eras of rulers.....how ever the coins are identicle.
By coins i mean the 1980 from the Showa era (gothic style) and the 1989 that can be in either Shows {gothic style] or the Heisei era. Only difference in the description is which side is obv. or rev. Either way I am stuck.

Thank you for any help you may have on this issue too.

I'm glad to help.

Two guidelines for better answers: 1) Start a new topic for a new question. More people will see it. 2) When talking about coins in Numista include links to the coin pages. Make it easier for people to help you.

In the Japan case the two coins are:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces929.html
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2676.html

The lines for 1989 in the two cases aren't identical, they have different texts (year and ruler name). The Shōwa has 昭和六十四年 and the Heisei has 平成元年. See the pages for more details and explanation.

The difference between the obverse and reverse is an error. I just submitted a change request to make them consistent.
