I recently acquired this coin in an auction and have mostly identified it as 1782 Prussia 1/24 Thaler KM296.
The problem I have is that this coin appears to be copper and not the silver as indicated in catalog.
I realize the .222 silver sometimes tarnishes odd but this coin really has no silver appearance.
Weight is 1.9g(2.2g listed) and the diameter is pretty much dead on at 19.5mm.
My question is whether or not this is a legit coin or possibly a period counterfeit?

Not my main field of expertise ... but .222 silver (22%) means the coins is probably at least 75% copper, which does not make it unlogical to have a copper look. To be honest, it's more of a copper coin than a silver one (therefore normally called billon)

Beautiful coin BTW!
Just call me Bram

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

Thanks for your opinion Bram.
I was pretty sure of the ID but like to get a second or third set of eyes on something this old.
I was pretty surprised this one was in a bulk lot of auction coins. No great $ value but the history seen by this coin must have been amazing.

Copper counterfeits are known: https://www.ma-shops.com/klein/item.php?id=7209, and if struck to the correct dimesnsions, could help explain the lower weight.

I have a Polish coin overstruck on this type, and the color is silvery, not coppery. You can also take a look here and see a number of examples of authentic coins, and maybe draw a conclusion: https://www.ma-shops.com/shops/search.php?searchstr=prussia+1%2F24+1782+A&catid=-1&submitBtn=Search&days_new=
