Hi there, I have a 1968 Canadian 10 cent coin to assess, and I really don't know if it's a genuine error coin or if it was damaged post-mint. It looks like it might have been struck through cloth, or grease, but honestly I don't know. You can very barely see the outlines of a boat, the queen's effigy is easier to see. Here are the scans :

I think you nailed it. I'm sure now that this coin has been damaged post-mint,. It looks like it has been repeatedly run over or tumbled on itself in a machine. Thank you.

Let’s check… The rim is raised on both sides. It would be a spooned coin, then. In any case, just a curiosity, no value I guess ? [Edit : the dryer coins have a raised edge ; it really is one.]
