Need some help identifying this token/medal

I can’t find any details on this either token or medal on 1 side the writing is Alfred von Schlieffen, Graf Alfred, von Schlieffen
28.02.1833 - 4.01.1914
Alfred von a was famous in the German military just before ww1

other side Deutsche militargeschichte

approx 43-44 mm wide 3mm thick and weighs 28.11 gr non magnetic
any ideas what it is or why it was made as I can’t find another 1

There is the Mintmark (crowned G) from "Göde Bayerisches Münzkontor" on the medal. This company is one of the companies with hard core selling for high prices.
There are not a lot of collectors of such stuff.
