Yes i know - that dreaded topic once again. I have been looking for a thread - at least i think it was on here - that described a very specific soaking solution that gave good results in clearing the green stuff. I think the OP was a chemist and he/she gave a detailled receipe, the key being getting the correct molar balance of the components.

does this ring a bell for anyone ?

PS i have tried the FLUKE flame method on a throwaway coin but ended up with a pink coin as if it it had been dipped in acid - maybe my poor technique ?

It was a home made solution but with a scientific basis not a out and out home brew. I am beginning to wonder if I read it elsewhere and not here.
