Hello.

Can anyone explain which version of the Mexico 2 centavos coin is which. And how to make difference between wide and narrow date ?

I see the explanation on the site but which one is the inverted date ? flat or 40 degrees ?

There is his extra explanation given : "Example of an "Inverted 6" variety (6 in date was first struck inverted and then a second strike with the correct alignment was made, but it is easy to appreciate the original inverted 6 under it, specially in the empty space between the top and the "belly" of the number):"

Sadly the second pic is too small but... if you can see the original inverted under, the 40 degrees should be the inverted version. Right ?

Also how make difference between wide and narrow date ?

Thx.

This is a picture of the 1 centavo 1906 but I'm sure it will be comparable with the 2 centavos. Look at the space difference between the numbers. Of course it's easy to see when you have both versions in hand, not so much when you only have one.

Thx Essor.

Not only i dont have both versions, i have none but want to buy one from ebay.

There is one variety that should be much more valuable than the others and it's hard to distinguish.

Those 2 pics you enlarged (ty) are great, but they don't say exactly which 6 is the one inverted. I can only guess the 40 degr one because of the next comment i highlighted above.

The pic on numista coin page that would help is this one, but too small for me. Corrected struck over inverted numista sais.

Sorry, my "newest" version was not on numista!

So inverted 6 version is entire number inverted, not just the angle on the tip of the 6 ?

I never seen such a coin.
That's it. The whole coin is in the middle.
