Welcome to numista. As we all try to expand our knowledge and share it with the rest, it would help us if you could already share what you found on the internet.

Even if there is nobody on the forum who know more than the internet, at least that information could be used by you to add this token to our catalogue for all future generations to share your gathered information with.

But as your item seems to be a token (there are fewer collectors of those), there tends to be less knowledge about them around. But let's try to help you find extra info that you haven't yet found :)

Hello and welcome to Numista!

As you probably know, Moose Jaw is a city in Saskatchewan, Canada. They created tokens in the 70's and 80's commemorating various things, some (maybe all) minted at the Sherritt Mint in Fort Saskatchewan, Canada. Here's some of those tokens. Yours may be the first in the list. I'm not sure what else you want to know but I'd suggest you contact the local government there.

Yes, this token was indeed minted at the Sheritt Mint too. Here some more info about that souvenir dollar:

This link takes you to a site that gives you value for it. If it was in MS condition otherwise it is in the bucket at 5 for a loonie.
