Hello,
in the light of some recent events in our world, I would like to use the "chitchat" section of this forum to share some wise and positive thoughts, without saying which political viewpoint, leader or country I support. I'm not starting any discussion here, and I would like to see other people continuing this thread to say something positive as well, for example, sharing prayers, poems, or just inspiring words.
Let's start with this quote:

"War is out-dated – non-violence is the only way. We need to develop a sense of the oneness of humanity by considering other human beings as brothers and sisters. This is how we will build a more peaceful world."

This is a challenge!

It reminds me the "positive thinking" which, by modifying your perception, commits you to retain only the positive in each situation, to put things into perspective, but also not to waste energy unnecessarily. By working on this, we learn not to dramatize anymore, we take a step back and we are positive about others. We thus gain serenity. And it works pretty well for all the hassles of everyday life, your colleague at work who makes you a disparaging remark, your finances in the red, etc…
Now it is different, it is a global amazement caused by these events that we thought of another century and to step back, to put things into perspective, it becomes a lack of empathy. I remember those tourists sunbathing on Croatian beaches during the Yugoslav war.

It is also fear that torments us when propaganda on Russian TV explains how their country can vitrify all of Western Europe. At work, the only discussions relate to the increase in the price of gas and gasoline because we feel helpless and appalled by all the taboos that have suddenly fallen. Europe is afraid. Positive thinking makes it possible to no longer anticipate problems, but in our present case, hic et nunc, it is a denial of intelligence.
We had war on our doorstep in Yugoslavia a few decades ago, but we knew it was a fratricidal war that would not go beyond the borders of the country. There it is different.

And yet there are reasons to hope and have faith in humanity when we see the natives stopping a column of tanks with their bare hands. These images which recall the Prague Spring in 1968 followed by how many dark years before hope rebounds, it is also The Unknown Protester of Tian'anmen in 1989 or more recently the umbrella revolution in 2014.

There is hope.

And my secret garden that allows me to keep this hope in human genius is always music and extraordinary talent...

Yes, war will always be with us. Look at history in the rear view mirror, as Adorno suggests, what you see there gives the lie to the notion of progress or civilization, it has been a non stop disaster this human history, at ever increasing scale, until the entire planet is indeed on the brink of calamity, of our own making!
But that is not what I wanted to say.
At the same time, in each of us, in our little lives, we each have the ability to take joy in the things we cherish, and can give a loving caress to the few nearest to us, and these little gestures and expressions have power, great power -
I do not think there can be world peace, it's absurd to suppose that can happen -
but each of us, has the ability to be at peace ourselves, and to project it as far as we can around us, little though our realm may be, and that tiny sphere of peace is as big as any country at that moment.

The greeting itself is an acronym for the words of ancient times?
Colleagues I was looking for us, where the "faith" of man came from? Not written in the Middle Ages by a monk by candlelight, but realistically on coins or carved in marble, stone and written in the archives of the Vatican.
( I really needed that faith-was and will be my thank you for life)

A Roman city in the north of the "Adriatic", where the famous Aqilea Mint was also located, was attacked and the entire Roman northern areas were ravaged by barbarians of the Germanic tribes.
The Roman Senate commissioned "Mark Aurelius" to establish order in the fighting in the north in Central Europe, the whole course is recorded in books by the then historian in 172 , and within 10 years of the event he was carved into the column of Marcus Aurelius in Rome.

The Romans in the mountains were surrounded by Germanic troops and held for many days without water. Due to the then pandemic of the virus, referred to as the Antonian plague , the first Slavs and Christians were secretly recruited into the legions.
They began to pray, and from the sky their gods sent rain and lightning killed the German-barbaric army.
There's more to that story than just why one's faith is important in both war and peace.

Has the stamp been preserved?
Yes, made by famous masters in the town of,, Jablonec nad Nisou,,-where our national mint is. Based on the design and motive of a crazy numismatist who wanted to make doctors, nurses and people happy for whom faith is perhaps important But it's small here ,, something,,
The coin is an unknown country. The belief that when one believes in something better, one overcomes obstacles.
