I'm wondering if different backgrounds were really produced by the Royal Canadian Mint or if they are just fakes?

It looks like poor quality control to me. screen painting ain't rocket science, but it is a fairly new art that mints have undertaken.
I imagine every one is slightly different.

At one time I had a collection of non-silver 25 cents and you could definitely see the improvements over time. Quality control had little to do with it. Even up until about 2012 / 13, this was the best they could do with existing technology.
