In short? Fun!

It looks funny, what was your material and the metal used for this electroplating ?
There is an example of tin electroplating.
What other type of electroplating can be done, something golden in color?

Yes, it's plated in Copper!

The US quarter is clad in nickel. I used some old copper wire to be the donator and had the quarter in some 1N HCl. Wires were hooked up to a small battery.

Voila! Copper plated quarter.
I plated a US quarter with copper also. Was not happy with the results so I cut it into pieces.

That's awesome!!
Four women are driving across the country together, each one from a different state: Idaho, Nebraska, Montana, and California. Shortly after the trip begins, the woman from Idaho pulls potatoes from her bag and throws them out the window. “What are you doing?” asks the Nebraskan.
“We have so many of these things in Idaho, I’m sick of looking at them.”
A moment later, the gal from Nebraska pulls ears of corn from her bag and tosses them from the window. “What are you doing?” asks the gal from Montana.
“We have so many of these things in Nebraska, I’m sick of looking at them.”
Inspired, the Montanan opens the car door and kicks the Californian out.

If you use a marker you can inhibit the plating and do stuff like this:
That looks cool!
This looks fun. I've always wanted to try electroplating, but to be honest I'm pretty lazy, lol.
Might be cool to block all raised bits and just plate the smooth background. Kind of like a proof but bi-metallic.

Yeah I wanted to do that with this coin: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces608.html

I tried coloring the whole thing and gently rubbing some of the ink off the high spots, but couldn't get it as clear as I wanted. I think it'll work but I need to be ultra delicate. Would look amazing though.
They are some interesting electroplating DIY on Youtube, among some other amazing transformations of coins :8D
