Hello folks,

Does anyone know where to buy one ore get a pdf regarding this topic ?
Preferably an issue from 2021 or even better 2022...
Couldn't find one here on numista so I would be adding the info if I find one :-)
Languages can be English or Dutch...
Otherwise i also have the option to use Google Translate but that will take ages doing this page by page ;-)

Thanks in advance !

I collect these Euro Probe/Trial coins and have got quite a few of them. (Plenty in my swap list too 0:))

have been updating photos and information on them on Numista as I get hold of them.

Not sure if there is a catalogue anywhere that lists them all but this search on Numista will show all the ones we have got listed here.

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=euro&ct=exonumia&im1=&im2=&ttfc=y&cat=y&ru=&ca=6&no=&v=&i=&b=&ie=&u=&a=&dg=&m=&f=&t=&w=&mt=&g=&se=&d=&c=&wi=&sw=

Hi Mike,
Ah well, maybe it's too early to have a real physical catalog that bundles and discribes all probe's ?
I'm pretty sure someone, in the future somewhere, will get buzzy on it.

I also update photo's if the quality isn't sufficient or when data is missing.
Bought myself a digital scale (0.01gr) & digital caliper (0.01mm) only to get the data from some of my coins and place it here online...

I wanted to add all 9-coin luxe-box sets of Euro Probes i have but am having difficulties getting them thru the authorization 100% !!

Like this one: 1 Cent - Malta 2004 (9 coin box-set)
You can see I've upgraded pictures into 1200dpi scans, I've added all measurements and added other coins on the page from the serie.
All pages got authorized except the 5 Euro... For some reason that I don't understand...
If someone could give it another go maybe with more luck ?
5 Euro - Malta 2004 (9 coin box-set)
Here's all data needed:

You can see the 5 Euro actually is Gold plated, not Copper-Nickel !
Weight: 25.51 g
Size: 36 mm
Thickness: 3.34 mm
Comment:

See Also: Add other 8 coins from set (1 Cent > 2 Euro)
Date: 2004
Mintage: 3500 (Comment: 9 coin Box-Set)

I think I covered all needed... I hope someone has more luck than I had !

Cheers,

On your 1 cent picture of the left there are some image lines missing. My scanner does the exact same thing but not always on the same position.
Does anybody know if this is a hard- or software problem? One of the reasons I almost never take pictures with a scanner other then making UNC coins look kinda dead.
I had a look at the Malta ones you uploaded and they look great. I have no idea why the 5 Euro one got knocked back?

Try resubmitting it again and if it is knocked back again you can appeal the decision to reject it.

I can't see why it would be rejected based on how well you did the others in the set?

Hah, now you're telling me something...
I didn't even noticed !
Maybe it's just the coin beeing not 100% manufactured correctly ?
It is still a probe...
Maybe it's because I need to sometimes turn the image a couple of degrees as I almost never allign them straight when placed on the scanner?
Would be strange though.
I will get a new better look at the coin later... Need to digg it out of storage (8

Hi Mike,
I've resubmitted the 5 Euro now 3 days ago, I assume by now it got rejected again...
Say, where or who do I need to contact for my appeal ?
Sounds like I need a lawyer... lol
I have 6 more boxsets like this one to go, but because of this first failed attempt for no reason I'm not very enthusiastic to proceed...
Cheers,

Checked the coin with my magnifying glass and you're absolutely right, the coin is perfectly round...
You're saying you have the same problem so there must more people.
Dunno if this happens during the scanning proces or afterwards when the image get's processed ?

You just go to your modifications requests page, Should look like this one ...
If the request was rejected it should look like the one on the bottom of this page - Rejected
If it has not been dealt with yet it will say - Pending

If yours was Rejected click on the one that was rejected and you will get this page ...

Where it says appeal . . click on that .. you will get this page ...

Just type the reason why you think it should not be rejected and wait.

Thats it - Cheers Mike

Thanks Mike !
Wow, took me ages to find this page... lol
Status = Pending for the latest 5 euro... The first submission for the same coin is also still Pending...
So it was not rejected, maybe the referee is on vacation,  to Malta ?
Thnx,
