Hi everyone.

Some of envelopes that I sent and some of the envelopes which were sent to me haven't arrived in more than a month (one of them - even almost 2 months).

Please share your experience about the maximum duration of coins' delivery.

All the best,

Danil

I have been waiting 3 months until I get my coins.Sometimes such letter delays happen.

Most of my domestic mail (US) has arrived on-time in a week or so. However, one domestic letter “disappeared” altogether last year. One domestic letter, sent with Priority Postage a few months ago, took 2 weeks when it was promised for 2 days! It was about 125 miles door-to-door so very frustrating. No explanations either. Just luck of the draw.

International post has been a week to a month, but that's not surprising. One package I sent to France last year was searched by Customs. The person I sent it to reported that the package was opened, rifled, and re-sealed with orange security tape. No explanation.

Two months sounds awful, but the world is still upside-down and nothing surprises me anymore. Labor shortages, fuel shortages, war, etc. I hope you have tracking numbers and insurance.

BTW: this thread might do better in Free Discussion?

As I see not so long in your case. I found another thread from 2015 and people shared that some of their envelopes were about 3 months in a road. Some guy wrote about 2 years of delivery (which I think is an absolute record).

In my case no tracking numbers and no insurance. Just ordinary mail.

About the “Free Discussion”. Maybe you're wright. Good to know for future (since I don't know how to change it now).

I had letters from Europe to the US taking about 2 months. I would say, give it 3 months, and after that you can consider it lost/not sent. I had 2-3 envelopes like that in a couple of years out of about 120 swaps.

Domestic mail in the Netherlands (what ever you put on your parcel (letter) works just fine.

On the other side international mail, even within the EU, has becoming a big gamble. Forms need to be filled and the content needs to be described. A registered letter offers some safety, but it only proves that you send your letter. Besides that the costs are definitely high, one price till 2 kilogram (€ 19,30).

May you follow your own ways and differ from the custom rules, than everything can happen (from fee's till confiscated letters).

In other words,  may you want to swap with some safety, be sure that the value content is relevant.

Cents are money too!

I got a message saying they tried to deliver and was not home. Had to pick up at the post office. Went to post office and wasn't there. Had to wait three weeks but never found. Why would they leave me a message saying to pick up at post office then steal it?

Once I sent a letter to Canada which took 91 Days to arrive

Australia to Portugal took just nearly 4 months once. But the letter/package was held up in Portugese customs for most of that time. The swapper I was swapping with had to send me a special form which I had to fill in, send back to him and then they would release the package.

Cheers Mike

There was a package from New Zealand for more than 4 months)))

Today I received an envelope which was 70 days on its way from France to Cyprus. Usually it takes less than 2 weeks…

with Canada, it's problematic every time, even in Montreal for two or three weeks they can't send where they need to go, although in the USA it seems like there are clearly 14 days nearby
