Bronze Proof tokens contaminated by PVC

I just added a series of proof tokens by the Franklin Mint that were contaminated with PVC. They are still legible but the proof quality has been ruined. I soaked them in acetone for a week but they were in the original packaging for over 50 years. I just thought I would share a link so that you can see what PVC does.

I thought they would look way worse.

Yeah for real.  You did a great job cleaning them up.  I think they're actually very attractive, if kinda splotchy.

Most people back then didn’t know about the consequences of using PVC, Luckily they haven’t developed verdigris yet.

My favourite.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
