In some religions and cultures, the number 786 is very special. Many people in those cultures collect banknotes whose serial numbers end with 786.

I will share a few that I have:

Thailand

Thailand

Japan

Libya

Mostly in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Collector-SMY

Mostly in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

I suppose my next question is, why?

I ran through my entire collections and I have 3 notes ending with #786, and one of them is an Indian 5 rupees nd2002. The other two are the Maldives and South Africa.

You can probably speak it like allah or something otherwise religious.

The number 786 has meaning in most of the organized religions. Throughout the world, the number is considered a “good luck” omen for prosperity. Check out the following page.

Maybe it is to the Islamic world, Hinduism religion or even the Jewish people, but I do not believe is the same to the Eastern Asians, like the Chinese, Japs, Koreans, or even to most of the South East Asians. This is just my understand and opinion.
