I want to add this coin to my collections but  can not find which coin it is as they look identical.

N#47124

N#101561

I think my coin is probably KM#1120 but not sure. Could anybody tell me the difference of these two coins? Thank you!

Hello,

The reverse legend on the coins are different.

N#47124 says:

ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK
G
1834

N#101561 says:

SEGEN DES BERGBAUS
S
X. EINE 1830 FEINE MARK

Your coin is the first page.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply. But what puzzled me is that NGC says 1834G of the second(KM#1121) has the same legend, albeit an “older head”.

The real problem is the head of the king doesn't look any older to my eyes…

Hi,Trebuchet_yu!

Yes,you are right, there is a big problem with the KM catalogue for the numbers 1120 & 1121. My opinion is that there is an error of the catalogue here! The photos of the 2 (close) type coins are exactly the same and so are the descriptions, with the same legend ''ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK''. The difference is made by the mintages & values shown there.

You may notice that THOSE (second) mintages are put in the Numista catalogue at their right place(I believe),aka for the second type coins(with SAME ''older head'' of king Anton but different legend on the other side,''SEGEN DES BERGBAUS'').

As you already have been told(and is also so easy to find out!),your coin is of the first type(more common than the other with low mintages!). But it is a nice coin, well preserved(in,let's say,an XF45-AU50 grade). 👍👍👍

So the only differece of these two types is the reverse legend,  neither the bust nor the S or G mint mark, is it?

I tried to look for pictures of KM#1121 with G mint mark but found non. Maybe it's due to the rarity of that type.

Any way, your information is really helpful. Thank you very much!

Yes.

We also have a mistake on the mintmark in Numista for KM#1121, 1832 (should be S, not G).  I will submit a modification request.
