#1, less common, simple, and better design.

1.
Everyone has a Sierra Leone 1964 half cent right? I like both, I find post colonial African coins interesting but the Malawi coin is not as common.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

Verweis : eminem Verweis : pnightingale Everyone has a Sierra Leone 1964 half cent right? ooh nope. anyone wanna send me one? It's strange, there are certain coins which show up in local coin shops, in bulk lots etc. really frequently, then disappear. Currently it's uncirculated Western Africa Francs from the 1990's, recently it was those half cents, before that UNC Jersey Pennys, high grade (AU+)1920's Italian 20c and George V Indian coins. I try to snag a few extra ones for anyone who wants them.
I have no idea where they come from and why such large numbers appear so suddenly.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

#1 I like both designs but...
the other one, I am not so sure about, I think they minted billions to fill up bulk lots?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
Looking for pre 1783 coins

No. 2, because the obverse in No. 1 looks "naked".
