I am looking for an UNC note, I'll be willing to swap it with notes of your choice.

Have a look here

My scanner is not large enough to scan it. The RM60 3-in-1 is also just as hard to get too. 6000 sheets issue at the issue price of RM500.

The last time I heard was that some one sold this (RM600) for US$6000 (auction), and that was few years ago, and some are/were listed on eBay at a ridiculous asking price.

This one is graded and is on eBay Malaysia

Another one here 3-in-1 uncut, but not selling!!

BTW, the heading listed on Numista is incorrect

Is it possible to get it from Malaysia or it's non-existent there as well?

Officially they are all sold out. You can only get it from dealers   or sellers only.

But why did they issue so few notes? Did they really want to hype it up?

This is the question only the bank can answer. RM600 for RM1700, and 6000 sets issued.

I believe you can buy reproduction one for around US$15 each, if I am not mistaken.

Reproduction = Fake?

One ebay seller is selling this at 10100$ including shipping. I don't think – buying this is a good idea.

You can search for reproduction notes. Which I found at around 30$ on web.

Reproduction = Fake?

it means that the banknote is not issued by the Central Bank of Malaysia, but rather a counterfeit or replica. Reproduction notes are sold as souvenirs and are not intended for use as legal tender.

Of course I'm not paying $10,000 for a banknote, I'd rather buy a house in Malaysia for this.

And no, I don't believe in anything that's not real. That kills the whole point of notaphily, anyone could amass the fake collection with these reproduction notes. I would take the note out of my mind and focus on other notes that I want.

Remember that this is a rich man hobby, and there are many very rich men out there, especially in the USA, Canada and Europe, and not to mention China too. This RM600 is a Hybrid commemorative note and as such is also popular to many collectors too.

For US$10,000 you will not be able to buy a house in any of the capital cities in Malaysia. It might be possible to get one in a smaller town far far away, and that may be a tough ask too. Of course, you can still buy a brand new car, but only the small car and locally made only. You can forget about getting one of those imported one, like a Toyota, Nissan or Mazda etc. I think KIA could be also out of reach for US$10,000 too.

Reproduction notes are not fake notes. All reproduction notes are usually printed with the word reproduction at the bottom of the note. This is the next best thing if you cannot get the real one, especially the real one is just too expensive. In my opinion, people who buy them, are just like buying those fantasy home made type of novelty so called notes.  In my opinion, just like buying those $0 euro note too.

You took house-buying metaphor a little too seriously 😄

I still see reproduction notes as fake. I'd look for other notes, there are thousands of them out there so this is not the end of the world if the Malaysians artificially made their banknote highly treasured.

😀Just trying to point out the reality of property prices in that country.

I think more like every major city in the world, even on the African continent.
