Hello, dear friends,

Summer is coming, and Georgia, as usual, meets a lot of guests. If You  are planning to be among them,  feel free to contact me. I live in Tbilisi ( capital) ,  and will happy to swap or trade with   all of You.

My interest: Medieval  and late ( befor 1945)  coinage,  Ilkhans,   ancient near east, , Georgian coins. Also African coinage .

Also, I can help You to find here  nice coins, and avoid  cheaters and counterfeit-sellers.

Welcome <3

 Best regards

David

Hello Dato,

Is Georgia a good place to visit these days, with Russia/ Abkhazia conflicts? We don't hear much about that region these days, so not sure how the tourism situation is.

Also, do a lot of people speak Russian and/or English?

Hello,

Due to Abkhazia and Samachablo frozen conflicts, Russians are not welcomed  in Georgia. New Generation doesnot speak russian (english is ok) ,  we, - ex-USSR people, we speak Russian.

Situation in Georgia is good for tourism,Abkhazia and Samachablo are like Northern Cyprus  for Other Cyprus.

Best regards

D

For the record, I'm not russian. Born in Ukraine, but first language is russian. Sucks, I know…

Well, it is an usual stuff in Ukraine, when the first language is  Russian.

Here are a lot of russian migrants,  mostly young people from Moscow-SPB ,run from mobilization,  but they try to not speak russian in the streets.

Even today, most Ukrainians understand the Russian language, as Ukrainian is a closely related language, as is Belarusian.

Last year, some of the Ukrainian Border Guards yelled the Russian language version of ‘Russian warship, go F*** yourself!’ to the crew of a Russian warship - which has even been commemorated on stamps of Ukraine & Sierra Leone, of all places!

Yes, that is the stamp.

Sierra Leone even used the same design for one of their own stamps - possibly to express support for Ukraine's fight for freedom.

Aidan.

გამარჯობა დათო! როგორ ხარ?

I would love to visit Georgia!

I love the Georgian script and the Georgian food. We actually have a Georgian restaurant not too far from where I live, and we have visited it twice, and was never disappointed.

A couple of friends of us visited Georgia last summer, or the summer before that, and showed us pictures and talked about the country, the people - and of course the food! They also gave us a bottle of Georgian ღვინო (that's wine, btw). So now I really wanna go! 😄

I doubt I will be able to swap with you, but a local guide and good company is always welcome!

This year I will not be able to visit, but there's always a next year, so who knows? 😁

იზრუნოს!

Dear Hendrik,I will always happybto meet here any Numista Team member, so welcome my friend,- any time!

Support for Ukraine is deservedly very strong.

Aidan.

Yes, and here we support Ukraine too, even directly fight and die with  ukrainians. I just trying to not use  Numista as political plathform .

My view is known for everybody who knows me.

Thanks, dear Aidan.

David.

David,

My head of state His Majesty King Charles III has expressed very strong pro-Ukrainian sympathies in speeches - & has met the President of Ukraine in London several times.

I am very sympathetic to freedom-loving people who are fighting to do the right thing - no matter whether they are Georgians, Taiwanese, Ukrainians or decent-minded New Zealanders who are fed up with the evil & morally bankrupt policies that are being advocated & promoted by the politicians over here.

His Majesty King Charles III is a man I have a huge respect for, not only because I have met him in person twice here in New Zealand - but because he has done a lot of good like both his late parents did.

Aidan.
