I am a coin enthusiast, and I have purchased a 1898 Wilhelmina 10 Gulden gold coin on MA-Shop.Now NGC has identified it as a counterfeit coin, but the seller refuses to admit it. I have provided relevant evidence, but the seller continues to argue. They initially mentioned the possibility of a refund if it turned out to be fake, but now they claim that the refund period has passed and even deny selling that particular coin. Everyone, please remember this store: Asian African Art.
I spent 600€ plus fees, totaling almost 700€, but the seller's invoice shows only 200€, and they cannot provide any additional evidence. Such sellers who sell counterfeit coins at a cheap price should be known to everyone.
Have you tried contacting MA Shops? They guarantee these suppliers' products. You have a copy of the sales advertisement and a bank account transfer record in your bank statement. This should be a good start. Good luck.
Systemic, isn't it? Dont blame the platform. The issue is the seller and the people who manufacture fakes on an industrial scale.
However, after ma-shop, and the seller did not admit it, I recognized the ma-shop before I bought it, but I bought a fake one. I waited for a long time and spent a lot of money, isn't it me who suffered the most
Is it possible to escalate the Problem directly with Ma-shops?

The ma-shop has confirmed that it is the same coin, but the scammer denies it and claims to know an expert with 50 years of experience, who knows if the expert is his friend
I'd still like one of our own experts to point out signs of this coin being false. “NGC says so” is not a valid response to “what makes this coin counterfeit”
Looking at it, it looks very real; assuming that the composition, dimensions, and weight are correct.

The coin has a major flaw that proves to be a counterfeit, and I am currently in a confrontation with the seller, and I will share the answer when I know the results
As for why I'm not returning the item for a Return and refund, it's because initially the seller denied that it was the coin they sold, and they didn't respond to my emails asking me to contact ma-shop. However, ma-shop told me to contact the seller. After persisting for half a month, the seller proposed demanding conditions for me to return the item, and they also asked me to cover the shipping cost. In their emails, ma-shop mentioned only two options: returning the item for a refund or keeping the counterfeit coin, without mentioning any compensation. They did not address the customs duties and NGC grading fees that I paid.

Sadly your additional cost such as import and ngc grading fees are your own and no court or legal org will uphold repayment of these costs especially the import fee.

But China's law stipulates that sellers selling fake goods will be fined, and the seller must compensate the buyer three times. Is there no penalty for selling fake goods in your country?

Melvin fee profile states he is in China, he made 1 forum post in July 2023 complaining, no insisting, that a certain named store on MA-Shops sells fakes. The profile explains that money in € currency was used, yet the screen shots they provided shows Chinese characters on the layout.
It is possible that this profile and subsequent single forum post was set up to bad mouth one seller on MA-Shops. It is perfectly reasonable to also think that the buyer (from China) was trying to rip off the seller and when the seller didn’t fool for it the member opened the account and produced one post. They have not been active since.
If the poor member was sold a fake from Europe, how ironic is it that the customer is Chinese where the fake probably came from in the first place.
„If your reply or post in the Forum stinks of AI, I will call you out! Knowledge comes from experience, the I in AI stands for incompetence.“
