Diese Nachricht betrifft: Vorschlag zur Verbesserung von Numista machen

Hopefully I am not once again out with something allready suggested and maybe it's a luxury problem, but:

Could we make it possible to expand this section with comment? Some items has longer comments, which are hard to work with in a single short line. I may be a bit biased, since I have always hated those single lines, which only moves to the sides, not expanding or anything 😅

So the ability to drag in the bottom right corner, like here in the link section for instance, so too with all the years/types at once:

Could be really nice, to easen the work, for correcting multiple and longer comments :)

Hope that's a suggestion to at least be consideres :D

When I look the mintage lines in a Numista entry I want to see as many lines as possible. If a huge block of text is allowed for each mintage line it becomes hard to get an overview of the mintage lines.

Two possibilities:

  • If detail is required say “see the comment section” instead of including the full text for one mintage line.
  • Show only one line, with something to click to expand the line.

I think the first option will generally lead to an easier to understand page.

I mostly want this feature for when working in the lines. It is such a Sisyphus work to remove Sieg# 133 from all I don't know how many lines here for instance.

N#203640

It would be easier if the whole box was visible, instead of having to drag it to the end, every time.

I understand a single line is the most pleasing to look at :)

Why do they have so many different signature combinations per year anyway? 🤯

Just use Ctrl+F and search ‘sieg#133’ then click through all the hits and the comments are at the position you want to delete. But even with that it will take for ever.

I would think about asking to outsource this task to the Numista robot if possible or write your own script.

Edit: Looking at all those lines, they could be reduced quite a bit by removing all these prefixes.

What value do we get by including those? Years and signature combinations seem enough to me.

Also signatures have their own field, reducing the comment length too. We really need a better system to quickly add signatures to our database, not like now were it takes months upon months.

I agree with this suggestion which would only apply to the edit page.  The coin page itself would be unchanged.  Having made similar edits I know what Jamtrup means.  To get to the end of the comment to make changes is tiresome when doing many edits such as this.  There's plenty of room on the edit page to make the comment box longer.  Again, this will not affect the actual coin page at all.

Idolenz you should see the book I use as a referance and I belive the original author may have used. I's quite a headacke. Then add replacement notes to the mix and I need painkillers 🤪😂

I don't know how to write a script though, not good with tecknology. But Mr. Robot could probably be a help, yes :D
